Effective August 23rd, 2021 Governor Inslee has reinstated the mask requirement while indoors, no matter your vaccination status.
For real estate transactions, this means that brokers (like myself), clients (that’s you!), and partners (like appraisers, inspectors, etc.) must wear masks at all times while inside of a home. Brokers like myself will also wear masks at all times while in our offices.
Above all else, we want to stress that Real Estate Agent Spokane has continued to follow the strictest biosecurity measures throughout the pandemic. Wearing a mask around clients, coworkers, and industry partners is a simple and impactful way to respect and care for those we come in contact with on a daily basis.
We’d also like to take an extra moment to express that my family and I are all fully vaccinated. We will continue to take all recommended steps to keep ourselves, our peers, and clients safe and the local economy open and thriving.
With the reinstatement of the mask mandate, real estate transactions can continue as normal. Extra measures outlined in the new mandate include:
Keeping employees with possible or confirmed cases of COVID-19 from working around others.
Providing handwashing facilities and supplies.
Training employees to recognize and respond to workplace hazards, including COVID-19
Assessing recognized hazards, including COVID-19, as part of the ongoing requirement to provide a safe and healthful workplace and, where appropriate, take additional steps to protect unvaccinated employees.
Notifying employees in writing within one business day if someone they had close contact with tests positive for COVID-19 (without disclosing the person’s identity).
Reporting COVID-19 outbreaks of 10 or more employees at workplaces or worksites with more than 50 employees to the Department of Labor and Industries within 24 hours
